The first half of the year has been busier than usual, especially in the past few months. We are seeing new faces, and our numbers are staying high. We have also been the recipient of gifts from some very generous donors. Among them was Lucy Brierly, one of our founding members in 1983, who died last year. In her estate, she remembered us, and the money will be specifically used for capital items – items costing over $2000 and with an expected life span of at least three years. We hope that others may wish to remember Lunch By George in their estate planning.
Meanwhile our garden is blooming. If you would like to help harvest or transport the vegetables, please contact us.
